I just became the proud owner of a 1954 Chevy school bus but did not realize what I was getting my self into. The body is in good shape but does not have a motor or transmition how hard is it to upgrade the front end, brakes and drive train to a newer more reliable vehicle and where do I find parts?

You can find P30 chassis that have upgradeable brakes, drive train, and suspension. All Chevy, 1, 1.5 ton under motorhomes, and Step vans. Frame rails are flat and 34" apart. They come in various lengths look around and you can find them. Unless you are wanting to go 100% original. That is the route I am going.
If you have to Ask Why a Bus..... You just don't get.
