1955 GMC Four Wheel Drive School Bus
Here is a 1955 GMC School bus (4wheel drive) converted to a woodstock like hippy bus for The Grammy Awards after party which occured on Feb 8, 2009.
It looks great, the body is in great shape. No rust. It does not run but the Engine and transmission is all there. The rear drive shaft is missing.
The guy I bought it from said the last time he had it running was about 2 years ago. The last drive was a drive around the block. He was able to drive it around the block using the 4wheel drive.
This bus looks great now. This would make a nice hippy bus, burning man rig, grateful dead traveler, art walk shuttle, mobile home, whatever you need or want!
Paint is not intended for years of application. some got scratched off by performers dancing on the bus. Some paint is chipping. Just want to be upfront about all this.
